All 14 Teams Qualified For NBC Last 16

Fourteen out of the 16 teams for the Nedbank Cup Round of 16 have been confirmed after Richards Bay became the last side too book their ticket on Sunday.

It was a busy Sunday, with five games taking place. The day started with Golden Arrows and ORBIT College replaying their fixture from yesterday after it was halted due to adverse weather conditions and lightning. Lungelo Nguse and Sede Junior Dion scored before the break, while Ayabulela Maxwele completed the scoreline in the second half, as Arrows made light work of the tie.

Meanwhile, TS Galaxy needed extra-time to knock out Marumo Gallants, beating Bahlabane Ba Ntwa 1-0 thanks to a goal by Victor Letsoalo. Minnows Mkhambathi FC upset Motsepe Foundation Championship side Lerumo Lions 2-1, while AmaTuks beat Hungry Lions on penalties.

Last but not least, the Richards Bay beat Siwelele on penalties after a six-goal thriller ended 3-3 in extra-time.

On Saturday, Orlando Pirates made light work of Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila F.C., beating them 4-1, while Sekhukhune United celebrated a close 1-0 win at Highbury. Jacksa Spears beat Cardinals in a duel of the underdogs 4-2 after extra-time. Casric Stars knocked out Army Rockets, defeating them 3-0, while Upington City upset Magesi after penalties.

On Friday, Durban City also needed penalties to get past Chippa United, while Vasco Da Gama beat Luthuli Brigades 4-1. The Round of 32 had started on Wednesday when Mamelodi Sundowns beat Gomora United 2-1 and Stellenbosch FC eliminated defending champions Kaizer Chiefs by the sam scoreline.
