Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedrick Kaze believes that the 30-minute delay ahead the game against Stellenbosch FC in the Nedbank Cup played a part but didn’t want to use it as an excuse.
The sold-out clash between Stellenbosch and Chiefs at DHL Stadium had a 30 minutes delay due to more than half of the supporters not being at the stadium when the game was supposed to kick off.

Both teams found out after they were done with their warm-up and had to wait for another 30 minutes.
When Kaze was asked if that played a role in his side conceding two early goals, he admitted that it might have had an impact even though he doesn’t want to bring excuses.
“It’s, a question that I would love to find an answer to, because those delays are never good for teams,” Kaze told the media.
“And you know, the momentum, the concentration, the focus on the game is, you get perturbation from that.
“And as I said, I don’t want to find any excuse. And we are out with all the things that happened today, and we have just to keep our heads straight and concentrate for Sunday’s game.”
