The Nedbank Cup Round of 32 draw took place on Thursday evening, with some exciting clashes being drawn up.
While domestic football is on a break, Mzansi football lovers can get excited over the next round in the Nedbank Cup, as the tournament heads into its 17th year of existence.
Orlando Pirates are defending champions after beating Sekhukhune United 2-1 in last year’s final. They will once again be among the favourites after Jose Riveiro has already won three domestic cups with the Buccaneers, plus the recent Carling Black Label Cup.
Meanwhile, record champions Kaizer Chiefs will hope to have a good run in the Ke Yona Cup to add to their 13 trophies so far and end their nine-year trophy drought.
Mamelodi Sundowns will aim to make it three Nedbank Cups in five years, as Rulani Mokwena will be keen to do better than last year when they were knocked out in the quarter-final by newly-crowned Carling Knockout Cup champions Stellenbosch FC.
