SuperSport United and Orlando Pirates have announced their starting line-ups for their Nedbank Cup quarter-final clash at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Gavin Hunt has completed 1,000 games since he started coaching in the Premier Soccer League, but since that celebration, things have not gone as he would have liked, as they lost to Magesi 1-0 and he was sent off. After that, they played a goalless draw with AmaZulu FC.
So far, though, they had a good time in the Nedbank Cup, beating Magesi in the Round of 32 by 2-0, before eliminating Cape Town Spurs in the Round of 16 in extra-time by 2-1.
Their aim will be to end Pirates’ unbeaten run in the Nedbank Cup this afternoon, as the Buccaneers are still unbeaten under Jose Riveiro in the Ke Yona Cup. The Buccaneers have been the kings of the Nedbank Cup, having won it two times in a row, and are looking to make it three.
They have their tails up following the midweek win against Chippa United away from home.
On their road to the quarter-finals, they dumped Richards Bay out in the Round of 32 by 3-1 before beating Baroka 3-1 in the Round of 16.
Pirates have had the better of SuperSport United this season, eliminating them from the MTN8 at the beginning of the season and beating them 2-0 in the league.
