Former Mamelodi Sundowns star Teko Modise insists that Nasreddine Nabi deserves more time at Kaizer Chiefs despite his struggles in his first season.

It’s Nabi’s final chance to keep their hopes of silverware in his first season alive, but they would have to overcome a Sundowns side which have beaten them thrice already this campaign.
With the Tunisian mentor’s future already in doubt, Modise has insisted that the North African deserves more time and another transfer window to get more players that suit his style.
“I think coach Nabi does deserve a chance, he does deserve more time,” he told iDiski Times in an exclusive interview.
“Also, from a person like me who is a fan of football, I think maybe if he can get an opportunity to sign a couple of players that he needs, so that these players can adjust to the demands he wants and the style of play he wants.
“Because he still has most of the players that have played for Kaizer Chiefs last season, that’s the same Kaizer Chiefs that were struggling last season.
“You can change as many coaches as you want, but as long as the players are the same and are not responding to the coach’s instructions or ideology, it’s always going to be very difficult.
“I think he does deserve a chance, because he might be the answer because not every coach, especially in South African football became successful in the first season.
“So, I think the team can invest in him.”
The Nedbank Cup semi-final kicks off at 18:30 at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Sunday.
