Alexander Hands Baxter and Helsingborgs Lifeline

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Cole Alexander netted his first goal for Helsingborgs IF to hand his side a major boost in survival.

Alexander, 34, joined the Swedish club with his former coach Baxter as he looked to add experience in their relegation battle.

After bagging an assist on his debut, he found the net in the sixth minute to open the scoring in his sixth game, as they beat Brage 2-0 this weekend.

The three points moved them up to 12th in the Superettan, five points off 16th-placed AFC Ekskilstuna in their battle to retain their status in the division.

It appears the job is done as they face fellow relegation candidates in the final game of the season on Saturday Skovde AIK.
