Fadlu Davids’ Simba SC suffered a blow in the title race in the Tanzanian Premier League on Thursday afternoon.
Simba had won 10 successive games, but dropped two points at Singida Fountain Gate today.
Davids’ side took the lead in the 58th minute via Leonel Ateba after 58 minutes, but conceded the equaliser in the 75th minute.
The result saw Simba drop into second place after Young Africans had hammered Kengold 6-1 on Wednesday.
Despite Sead Ramovic leaving Yanga, the Tanzanian champions climbed back to the top of the log.
Young Africans sit on 45 points from 17 games, one ahead of Simba, who only dropped points for a third time this season.
