Fadlu Davids has once again assembled a team of his trusted South Africans to join him at Raja Club Athletic.
The former Orlando Pirates co-coach announced his exit from Simba SC on Monday and was unveiled as new head coach by Raja a few hours later.
Davids returns to the Moroccan giants where he won the domestic double unbeaten as assistant under Josef Zinnbauer in 2023/24.
This time, though, Davids is the head coach and he has brought along several of his technical team members from Simba, where they finished runners-up in the league and CAF Confederation Cup.
Darian Wilken again joins Davids at Raja as assistant coach, while Wayne Sandilands will be the goalkeeper coach. In addition, video analyst Mueez Kajee and biokineticist Durell Butler also joined Davids’ technical team.
Davids will have his first game at Raja on 28 September when they will face DHJ – Raja currently sit in fourth place on the log after starting the new season with a win and a draw.
