Bafana Bafana striker Lyle Foster scored his first goal in four months for Burnley, as they collected a massive win on Saturday.
Foster, 23, had started his inaugural Premier league campaign on fire, scoring three goals and setting up two more in his first six appearances.
However, he had since struggled with mental health issues and only scored one more goal 15 appearances for Burnley since.
On Saturday, though, he returned to the scoresheet in Burnley’s 4-1 win over Sheffield United. Foster scored Burnley’s important third goal just six minutes after the home side had made it 2-1, taking the wind out of their sails.
It was his first goal since since 30 December 2023, as Burnley collected a massive win in the relegation race.
The win saw Burnley close the gap to the non-relegation spots to just three points, even though they remained in second from bottom.
