Having represented England at U15, U17 and U18 level, the towering defender is viewed as a major prospect for the future and has been an ever-present figure in the Premier League 2 side this season, missing only one game.
In a candid ‘get-to-know’ interview on the club’s account he stated when asked if there’s something people don’t know about him: “I can represent South Africa, my dad was born there”.
However, it remains to be seen whether the eligibility will lead to anything in the future, with Pinnington, who joined the club at the age of seven, still at a cross-roads of his career and yet to make his professional debut in club football.
