On loan Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Thapelo Maseko recorded his name on the scoresheet yet again as AEL Limassol overcame bottom dwellers E.N. Paralimniou 2-0 in the Cyprus League at Tasos Markou Stadium on Friday night.
The 23-year-old joined the Cypriot outfit in January 2026 after failing to break into Miguel Cardoso’s star-studded side.

Maseko expressed his desire to leave the club publicly in search of regular game-time with the club later caving in on his request.
He also recently came forth to give an emotional reaction after making his first start in a league match, 662 days since his previous start.
The former SuperSport United left-winger also joined up with fellow South African striker Luther Singh in Cyprus.
On Friday night, Maseko opened the scoring in the 35th minute to give his side the 1-0 lead making it two goals in four matches since joining the club.

Danil Paroutis rounded off the scoring in the 95th minute for a 2-0 away win as the victory saw Limassol consolidate their seventh spot with 33 points from 23 league matches.
Maseko will now be hoping to continue his goalscoring exploits as he looks to nail down a berth in Hugo Broos’ Bafana Bafana squad ahead of the World Cup having been part of the 2023 team that claimed a bronze medal spot at the continental showpiece in Ivory Coast.
Another South African plying his trade in the Cyprus League is Mihlali Mayambela who turns out for Aris Limassol.
