Pitso Mosimane’s agent and wife Moira Tlhagale has opened up about what happened to the South African tactician at Iranian side Esteghlal.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly mentor parted ways with Esteghlal in January this year over unpaid wages to him and his technical team.
The Chief Executive Officer of the club also came out to lambast Mosimane after his departure questioning the former Bafana-Bafana coach’s credentials.
In an interview with iDiski Times senior writer Matshelane Mamabolo carried in edition 192 of the newspaper, Tlhagale explained how she doesn’t understand how the non-payment saga happened.
“I don’t know, really,” Tlhagale told iDiski Times.
“You think people are settling, the coach is focused on the work and by the time you wake up, you realise there are stories after stories of [non] payments. And then at some point we said ‘we can’t go on like this’.
“And that is how it happened. Why it happened, if anybody knows, I’d appreciate being told why something like that would happen.”

Tlhagale went on to say she hasn’t given up on getting Mosimane and his men getting what’s owed to them.
“From a FIFA process point of view, there are certain steps we need to take, you know” added the agent.
“It says once you’ve terminated, the requirement is to ask them to pay all the outstanding fees, or then you go to FIFA. We are actually about to lodge a claim with FIFA”.
