Rulani Mokwena has continued his brilliant start at MC Alger after securing their seventh successive win in the Algerian Ligue 1.
Alger played bottom-placed El Bayadh but needed until the 78th minute to open the scoring via Larbi Tabti.
It was Alger’s seventh successive victory in the league – and their third successive 1-0 win – to cement their spot at the top of the log.
Alger have 22 points from just eight games, winning seven, and are three ahead of second-placed Oran, who have played three games more.
Sead Ramovic’s CR Belouizdad are only in seventh place, with 14 points from nine games, having picked up five draws already.
Overall, Mokwena has collected eight wins and four draws in 12 games with MC Alger, as he is still unbeaten in Algeria.
