Wydad Athletic Club head coach Rulani Mokwena has responded to questions whether he needs a Moroccan assistant coach as part of his technical team.
Mokwena has brought in the likes of Sinethemba Badela as assistant, as well as Sean Louw as goalkeeper coach and Alan Freese as technical advisor, with Sibusiso Makitla as analyst and Sibusiso Mahlangu as fitness coach.

With the former Sundowns coach bringing along his own technical team, there have been questions raised whether he should also have a Moroccan assistant.
Mokwena didn’t dismiss the idea and explained that he has given his recommendation to the club’s management and it’s now up to them to make a decision.
“The president knows my opinion, it’s a bit internal, so I’ll leave it to the club,” he said.
“In every club when we leave – we want to be here forever, but we know we’re going to leave – we have to leave with some form of investment for the country, so that the work continues, because we’ve got a very young squad.
