Pitso Picks Up Massive Result In Saudi

Pitso Mosimane’s Abha Club picked up a massive win in the Saudi Pro League and moved again out of the relegation zone.

The South African tactician and his team had dropped back into 17th place after losing 5-1 to his former club in their last match.

However, as previously, Mosimane’s side rose back like phoenix from the ashes and beat 11th-placed Al-Khaleej 2-1.

The result saw Abha climb into 15th position and now have their survival hopes in their own hands with just one game to spare.

Abha drew first blood in the first half through a goal by Francois Kamano which was levelled by Abdullah Al Salem in the 78th minute. But the home side found a later winner through Fabian Noguera in the 94th minute to move to 32 points.

It’s still just one point above the relegation spots, but Abha play bottom-placed Al Hazem in their final match, leaving their fate in their own hands.

Abha have now picked up 18 points in 14 games under Mosimane, while they were just sitting on 14 points after 19 matches before the South African took over.
