Pitso Mosimane has started his reign at Esteghlal FC with back-to-back defeats after going down 2-0 to Tractor FC on Thursday.
The defeat comes just five days the 3-1 loss to Kheybar Khorramabad FC after Mosimane had openly questioned the mentality of his players.
However, the response on the pitch wasn’t much better as Esteghlal lost to Tractor for the first time in five matches.
The visitors scored two unreplied second-half goals via Aref Aghasi in the 56th minute and Sajjad Ashouri in the 87th minute.
Mosimane and his new side now sit in 12th place in the Persian Gulf Pro League with just eight points from nine matches.
Meanwhile, Tractor climbed to the top of the log with 19 points from as many games.
Esteghlal have another mammoth task ahead of them as they Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal in the Asian Champions League in their next fixture.
