Pitso Mosimane’s Esteghlal F.C. missed the chance to move further up the Persian Gulf Pro League after a 1-1 draw against Aluminium Arak on Friday afternoon.
Mosimane’s side are now on a six-game unbeaten run but continue to drop points with their fourth draw in 13 league outings this season.
The point leaves them on 16 points and in eighth place, 12 points behind league leaders Tractor SC.
Uzbekistani star Jaloliddin Masharipov gave Esteghlal the lead from the spot going into the break but they were eventually pegged back after the hour mark by Mohammad Kazemian.
The spoils were shared in a result that did neither side a favour as they both sit in mid-table going into 2025.
