Rulani Mokwena’s Wydad Athletic Club have moved into second place on the Botola Pro log after beating SC Chabab Mohammedia on Saturday.
Mokwena’s side were the favourites as the visitors entered the game with just one points from their previous five outings, while conceding 14 goals.
They did open the scoring after 22 minutes from the penalty spot, when M’Baye Niang converted calmly.
The visitor’s, though, found an equaliser after 51 minutes, with Niang restoring Wydad’s lead in the 66th minutes. Just three minutes later Jamal Harkass made it 3-1.
The visitors pulled one back via Aziz Ennakhli from the penalty spot after 82 minutes, but Mokwena’s side managed to collect their third win of the league.
Wydad now have 11 points from six matches, level with AS FAR who have the better goal difference.
