Rulani Wins First Trophy In Algeria

Rulani Mokwena has secured his first trophy in Algeria after MC Alger beat rivals USM Alger in the Super Cup final.

Mokwena’s rein in Algeria has gone very well so far, as his side are leading the Ligue 1 table by 12 points ahead of Sead Ramovic’s CR Belouizdad.

Overall, they’ve only lost two games under the South African tactician so far, while winning 15 of their 24 games.

MC Alger now added their first trophy under Mokwena after beating rivals USM Alger in the Super Cup final 1-0.

The final was contested between the 2024/25 league winners, MC Alger, and the 2024/25 Algerian Cup winners, USM Alger.

Mokwena has also won four Premier Soccer League titles, as well as the African Super League with Mamelodi Sundowns during his time in South Africa.

Zakaria Naidji scored the only goal of the match after 74 minutes to hand Mokwena his first silverware in Algeria.
