Rulani’s Wydad Lose To 10-Man Berkane

Rulani Mokwena’s Wydad Athletic Club suffered another blow after losing to 10-man RS Berkane on Saturday.

The 1-0 defeat meant back-to-back defeats for Mokwena for the first time at Wydad after the surprise loss to CODM Meknes in midweek.

They headed into the game in seventh place, while Berkane were sitting at the top, even though only three points separated the two sides.

Wydad missed another chance to go top of the log, after Berkane played with 10 men for 40 minutes following the dismissal of Mateus Santos.

Ayoub Khairi scored the only goal of the match in the 75th minute to hand Mokwena and Wydad their third defeat of the season.

Wydad remained seventh with 11 points from eight games, while Berkane moved to 17 points.
