SA-Born Chauke Attracts Man City Interest?

South African-born teenage sensation Kgaogelo Chauke is reportedly being tracked by ‘several top clubs’ including Manchester City.

The 18-year-old midfielder who’s been on the radar of the South African Football Association (SAFA) for the last few years was born in Mamelodi but was been called up to the England U-18 squad in November last year.

He was also selected for the preliminary South Africa Olympic team but was left out of the final squad that participated at the global event in Tokyo.

The dynamic midfielder who has earned several call-ups to the first-team squad in recent months has yet to make his Premier League debut but featured in a 2-0 win over Shrewsbury in the FA Cup earlier this year.

According to TalkSport, the likes of City, Borussia Monchengladbach and Anderlecht are all vying for his signature as he will be available to sign a pre-contract in January – due to his contract expiring in July 2022.

Chauke, who left South Africa with his parents when he was just one year old has also captained their Premier League 2 side while starting all 11 of their games this season.
