Bafana Bafana forward Percy Tau has been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League once again.
Since the exit of Pitso Mosimane, there have been question marks over the long-term future of Tau at the Egyptian giants.
However, it’s understood the new head coach, Marcel Koller, who succeeded Ricardo Soares for the 2022/23 season, has been left impressed with Tau in training over the last weeks.
Koller looks set to offer the Bafana star an opportunity to prove his worth in the first-team before any thoughts of entertaining potential offers.
According to reports in Egyptian media, Al Ittihad, coached by former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo are among the clubs keen on his services, along with two other Red Devils stars.
And with Tau among the foreign contingent, should he not impress, the Swiss coach would be looking to bring in his own signings as he looks to challenge on all fronts.
