Bafana Bafana winger Percy Tau has started the new Egyptian Premier League on fire, scoring brace in Al Ahly’s 4-0 over Al-Masry.
The defending champions scored the opener via Reda Slim just before the break, but things started to fall into their place when Bayer El Mohamady got sent off after 52 minutes.
Al Ahly piled on the pressure and they were rewarded with Tau netting a brace between the 69th and 74th minute.
Karim Fouad even made it one better in the 88th minute to hand the home side a four-goal lead.
It was the perfect response for Ahly, just four days after they lost the CAF Super Cup 1-0 to USM Alger.
Al Ahly are aiming to win their 44th Egyptian Premier League after winning the quadruple under new coach Marcel Koller last season, when they brought home the Egyptian Cup, Super Cup, league and CAF Champions League.
