Wydad Drop Points

Rulani Mokwena’s Wydad Atlethic Club dropped points for the first time since December after being held to a goalless draw by CODM Meknes.

Mokwena’s men had won the last four games in a row, which saw them climb into second place on the log.

However, on Saturday they failed to beat ninth-placed CODM at home, as Mokwena opted to include both South Africans, Cassius Mailula and Thembinkosi Lorch into his line-up.

However, Lorch’s game was finished after 60 minutes, while Mailula was replaced after 75.

The result sees Wydad stay in second place with 40 points from 22 games, but they could be overtaken by AS FAR, who are three points behind but have a game in hand.

Meanwhile, run-away leaders RS Berkane are 15 points ahead of Mokwena’s men.
