Rulani Mokwena’s Wydad Athletic Club saw a late comeback halted in the top game of the Botola Pro league.
The Moroccan giants faced FUS Rabat on Sunday night and it looked long like third-placed Wydad would drop three points against the side in fourth.
FUS Rabat had scored the opener in the 35th minute via Hamza Hannouri, but Wydad pounced back late in the game.
Oussama Zemraoui equalised in the 81st minute before Hamza Sakhi turned the game on it’s head in the 85th.
However, a late strike by Soufiane Tazi denied Wydad an important three points in the race for second spot, which is currently held by AS FAR.
Thembinkosi Lorch started the game, while Cassius Mailula came on at the break.
Both FAR and Wydad now have 42 points, but Wydad sit in third by virtue of the goal difference, while FUS Rabat are fourth with 38 points with six games left to play.
