Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies maintained pole position in the Super Era Stream of the Hollywoodbets Super League with a 4-0 thrashing of University of Pretoria at Tuks Stadium over the weekend.

Goals from youngster Munashe Mugwara, Noxolo Cesane and Karabo Dhlamini plus an unfortunate own goal from the opposition, ensured that the defending champions collected their second win of the season and a second clean sheet in a row. Amatuks are in sixth place with three points in two encounters.

TS Galaxy Queens claimed second place in the stream with a 4-1 defeat of Copperbelt Ladies on Father’s Day. Captain Refiloe Jane completed a brace with the other goals coming off the boot of last season’s top goal scorer Leandra Smeda and Nicole Michael to sit two points behind Sundowns from two matches. Meanwhile, the Limpopo side are in fourth position with three points from the same number of games.

In other results in the pool, University of Western Cape were 1-0 winners over newcomers Stellenbosch while Richmond United defeated Diepkloof Ladies 2-1.

In the Super Rise stream, JVW FC made it two out of two wins this season, with a 4-0 victory over City Lads. A Gabriela Salgado-Moodaly brace and goals from veteran midfielder Nompumelelo Nyandeni and Cimone Sauls were enough for the Blue Diamonds to maintain top place in the stream with six points while the Gqeberha-based side is at the bottom of the log with no point after two games.

Meanwhile, Tshwane University of Technology were held to a 1-1 draw by First Touch Academy and took second place with four points while First Touch are third from bottom with two points from as many matches.

In other results, University of Fort Hare defeated University of Johannesburg 2-0 while rookies Ramatlaohle picked up their first win in the top division, prevailing 2-1 against Ezemvelo Women’s FC.
