JVW Dominate 7-Goal Thriller, Downs Ladies Also Win

JVW FC recorded the biggest win with a 6-1 thrashing of First Touch Academy while Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies continued their fine form in the 2026 Hollywoodbets Super League with a 4-0 victory over UWC.

Isabella Ludwig scored a brace while Nthabiseng Majiya and Noxolo Cesane contributed a goal each with Cesane moving to the summit of the top goal scorer chats across the streams with five goals for the defending champions.

The win sees the Brazilians staying on top of the standings in the Super Era stream with 12 points in four matches. Meanwhile, this was UWC’s second defeat on the trot, and they remained in fifth position in the stream with four points from the same number of games.

Nicole Michael scored the only goal in TS Galaxy Queens’ match with Richmond United to help the host side stay in second spot in the pool with 10 points. Richmond maintained sixth place with three points also from four outings.

Diepkloof Ladies picked their first win in the big league with a 2-0 victory over fellow rookies Stellenbosch FC. Portia Mphuti and Lorraine Makhoali were on the scoresheet for the Gauteng-based outfit who remained second from bottom with three points. Stellies remained at the foot of the table with no points after four rounds of action.

In the other game in the stream, Copperbelt Ladies were 1-0 winners over University of Pretoria.

JVW ran riot over First Touch Academy in the Super Rise stream. Julia Goncalves and Bonolo Mokoma netted respective braces with Nompumelelo Nyandeni and Gabriela Salgado-Moodaly also contributing a goal each. The Blue Diamonds remained in top spot with 12 points while the Limpopo side’s consolation came from Jeanet Fisher and they are in fifth position with five points.

UJ stayed in second place in the stream after a 3-0 win over City Lads. Lusanda Mavundla scored for the Orange Army while the opposition scored two own goals in the game. Nthabeleng Modiko’s charges have nine points in four matches while City Lads are rooted at the bottom of the standings with no points.

In the other match in the stream, Tshwane University of Technology were 2-1 winners over Ramatlaohle. The match between University of Fort Hare and Ezemvelo did not go ahead because Fort Hare was unable to travel according to a statement on the league’s X platform.

The statement said there were no reasons provided for why the team didn’t travel to Mpumalanga while also explaining that Fort Hare will forfeit the match with three points with Ezemvelo awarded two goals. UFH are also expected to appear before a SAFA disciplinary Committee.
