JVW FC have earned five nominations for the 2025 Hollywoodbets Super League end-of-season award nominations revealed on Monday.
The Blue Diamonds have enjoyed their most successful season in the highest league in women’s football in South Africa, finished second equal on 69 points with TS Galaxy in third place. However, they still finished 11 points behind record champions Mamelodi Sundowns who won their fifth title in a row last term.
The Gauteng-based outfit have a nominee in each of the categories with youngster Bonolo Mokoma vying for both Young Player of the Season and Player of the Season where she faces competition from Sundowns’ striker Refilwe Tholakele and the season’s top goal scorer Leandra Smeda of Galaxy.
Smeda in her first season in the league, has scored 22 goals, five more than what Boitumelo Rabale did in 2024. Meanwhile, Coach of the Season will be contested by the top three coaches in Godfrey Sapula, Janine Van Wyk and Sizwe Sibiya.

Referee of the Season

The winners will be announced at a ceremony to be hosted at the Vodacom Dome in Midrand on Sunday, 1 February 2026.
