It was a low scoring weekend in the Hollywoodbets Super League with only Ramatlaohle Ladies and Ezemvelo Women picking up respective 1-0 victories.
This was the first time there were fixtures in the Super Rise stream following the resumption of the domestic league two weeks ago after the WAFCON break.
The tie between JVW and University of Johannesburg ended in a stalemate. The Blue Diamonds however remained top of the log in the stream with 14 points in six outings while the Orange Army stayed on their heels with 11 points from the same number of games.
There were also no goals in the match between Tshwane University of Technology and University of Fort Hare in the same pool. The result saw the hosts of the festival in fifth place with seven points while TUT are third tied on 11 points with UJ just ahead.
Meanwhile, new side Ramatlaohle registered their third victory of the season, a 1-0 win over provincial rivals First Touch Academy. Dimakatso Sehlabo’s goal ensured that the Limpopo side moved up to fourth spot on the table with 10 points while First Touch dropped to second from bottom with six points from six outings.
Ezemvelo Women’s FC piled more misery of City Lads as they handed the latter their sixth defeat in the league this season with Ayanda Makhaza getting the only goal in the game.
The KwaZulu-Natal outfit is third from bottom in the stream with six points while Lads are at the basement of the group still with no points, no goals scored and with the worst defense record having leaked in 14 goals.
