Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies dominated the 2024 Hollywoodbets Super League Awards held in Gauteng on Sunday evening collecting four accolades.
Striker Boitumelo Rabale picked the top goal scorer gong after scoring 17 goals in 25 matches, Lebogang Ramalepe was voted the Player’s Player of the Season, Jerry Tshabalala walked away with the Coach of the Season award with the side receiving the team of the season, after securing their fifth consecutive league title.
Banyana ba style won the last campaign with 83 points, winning 27 games, drawing two and losing just one. Sundowns scored 114 goals and conceded 12 goals the same amount of goals scored by the side that finished bottom Thunderbirds Ladies. Their goal difference to their closest rivals University of Western Cape (UWC) was 102.
Former UWC midfielder and captain Amogelang Motau won the biggest honour of the night, the Player of the Season in a campaign that saw the Blues make a debut at the CAF Women’s Champions League. Motau recently made a move to Mexico joining Liga MX Femenil side Club Tijuana. The 27-year-old beat competition from Ramalepe and Yolanda Nduli of the University of Johannesburg UJ.
