Agent Refutes Talks On Fadlu Future

Rasthoem Simons, the agent of Fadlu Davids has refuted reports that the South African tactician is in talks over a new contract with Simba SC.

Davids and his technical team experienced an incredible first campaign with the Tanzanian giants, but it ended in heart break.

Despite only losing two games in the NBC Premier League, Simba were piped to the title by bitter rivals Young Africans thanks to a win in the derby on the final day of the season.

Davids, who penned a two-year contract with the club when he joined, also guided a young Simba side that had finished in third spot in 2023/24 to the CAF Confederation Cup final where they lost to Moroccan giants RS Berkane.

There had been reports in Tanzanian media that Simba’s leadership had opened talks with their head coach, but his agent dismissed those reports, stating Davids is currently on holiday.

“I have not been in contact with the club regarding contract extension,” Rasthoem Simons of 5sSports told iDiski Times.

“The reports are false. The coach is on holiday and I will meet him next week.”

Simba are Davids’ third club abroad after he worked as assistant alongside Josef Zinnbauer at Raja Club Athletic last season, winning an unbeaten double in Morocco, and before at Locomotive Moscow.

Davids assembled a strong technical team at Simba, which includes several South Africans such as Darian Wilken as assistant coach, Wayne Sandilands as Goalkeeper Coach, Mueez Kajee as analyst, and Riedoh Berdien as Strength & Conditioning Coach as well as Durrel Butler as Strength and Conditioning coaches.
