Stellenbosch FC defender Tylon Smith is close to completing a move to English Championship side Queens Park Rangers FC.
Smith, 20, had an excellent U20 AFCON where he was named Player of the Tournament after helping Amajita to win their first ever title.

His performances didn’t go unnoticed as he this publication can exclusively confirm that Stellenbosch reached an agreement for an undisclosed fee with QPR for Smith.
The 20-year old still needs to agree personal terms with the Championship side, which seems unlikely to be a an issue – once that is completed he is expected to travel to United Kingdom to complete his medicals.
Smith signed his first-team contract with Stellies at the beginning of last season but has not yet made his senior debut, as he was playing in the DStv Diski Challenge.
QPR finished in 15th place last season after conceding 63 goals. The addition of Smith could help to stop their leaky defence.
