AmaZulu FC have confirmed the exit of midfielder Ben Motshwari who parted ways with the club recently.
The 34-year-old last featured for Usuthu on September 17, when they secured a 2-1 Betway Premiership victory over Stellenbosch.
This season, he has featured in seven matches across all competitions – six in the league and one in the MTN8.
However, he has now left the club as first reported by SABC Sport, and confirmed by the club’s Public Relations Officer, Philani Ndlela to iDiski Times.
“The club has taken the decision to terminate the contract of Ben Motshwari following a disciplinary investigation. Mr Motshwari was found to be in breach of the club’s code of conduct,” Ndlela said.
“At this moment, this is all the information that we are able to share.”
The midfielder arrived at the Durban club at the beginning of the 2023/24 season. He has since played through two full seasons and into the current one.
In his time with AmaZulu, he racked up 60 appearances and scored one goal in the process.
