Former Moroka Swallows Strength and Conditioning coach Durrel Butler has become the latest South African to join Fadlu Davids’ technical team at Simba SC.
Butler was at Swallows between July 2023 and August this year, but has now been roped in by Davids.

He joins several South African members at the Tanzanian giants, including Darian Wilken as assistant coach, Mueez Kajee as analyst and Riedoh Berdien as Strength & Conditioning Coach.
Butler also specialises as Biokineticist and injury-recovery expert and previously worked with players like Lyle Foster, Khuliso Mudau and Given Msimango.
“Durrel flew out last night and joins the medical department at Simba SC and will also work closely with Riedoh Berdien (Head of Strength and Conditioning),” Rasthoem Simons of 5sSports told iDiski Times.
Butler holds an honours degree after graduating from the University of Johannesburg in 2017, and has been working as Biokineticist/physical therapist since.
