Lamontville Golden Arrows have now completed the signing of Hungry Lions winger Ronaldo van Neel ahead of the upcoming pre-season.

Abafana Bes’thende recently initiated a squad overhaul, parting ways with a few players a week ago. The club is now reinforcing the team to maintain the momentum of their impressive 2025/26 campaign.

This website previously reported that the Durban-based outfit was in advanced talks with the Motsepe Foundation Championship side for the winger’s services.

With the transfer now sealed, Van Neel is expected to link up with his new teammates next week when pre-season training officially commences.

The 24-year-old enjoyed a stellar campaign in the second tier last term, netting 13 goals in 26 league appearances.

His goalscoring exploits saw him finish as the joint-top goalscorer in the National First Division alongside Lerumo Lions forward Ntuthuko Mlotshwa, who has since joined Chippa United.

The highly-rated attacker is expected to seamlessly fit into the modern brand of football Arrows displayed last season under Manqoba Mngqithi. Operating as an inverted right winger, Van Neel poses a constant threat by cutting inside to find the back of the net.

Arrows have also signed forward Mnqobi Gumede, 21, from FC Ravens, who compete in the Eastern Cape ABC Motsepe League.
