Hollywoodbets Super League side University of Johannesburg (UJ) have confirmed the departures of attackers Adrielle Mibe and Ayesha Moosa to the United States and Spain, respectively.
The 18-year-old Mibe is set to join the University of Arizona, who compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) league, while also pursuing a degree in Behavioural Sciences at the institution.
Mibe has been a sensation for the Orange Army and has risen through the national teams ranks up until the senior side in her teens. She was part of Banyana Banyana’s Women’s Africa Cup Of Nations (WAFCON) squad but her time with Banyana at the on-going tournament in Morocco was cut short to allow her to move to the US.
Meanwhile, 21-year-old Moosa is joining CD Argual in La Palma, Spain, for a season. Moosa has also been an integral part of UJ’s success having won the Varsity Cup with the side in 2022 and the University Sport South Africa (USSA) title last year.
The players leave UJ in fifth position on the Super League log with 26 points in 14 matches with Moosa having scored seven goals, a goal behind the current top goal scorer in the league.
