Breaking: Chippa Release 16 Players

Chippa United have parted ways with as many as 16 players, including the likes of Luvuyo Memela and Kamohelo Mahlatsi.

The Chilli Boys had an up-and-down season and while it looked at one stage like they could finish in the Top Eight, they did finish in 12th position.

Despite not being involved in the relegation fight in 2023/24, Chippa are looking at another squad revamp after as many as 16 players were let go.

Those who were released are:

  • Darren Johnson

  • Kamohelo Mahlatsi
  • Diego Appolis
  • Khanyisile Mayo
  • Siseko Manona
  • Yuriq Conwood
  • Andile Mbenyane

Meanwhile, Goodman Mosele and Malebogo Modise return to Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns, respectively.
