Chiefs Announce Bvuma Update

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma has signed a new two-year contract with an option to extend, as previously reported by iDiski Times.

Bvuma, 28, came through Chiefs development and was promoted in the 2016/17 season, making his debut in a 3-2 loss to Cape Town City in March 2017.

Since then, he has made 41 appearances for Amakhosi, keeping 14 clean sheets, including his probably his most famous one in a 1-0 win at Wydad Athletic Club in the CAF Champions League semi-final frist leg in 2021.

The Bafana Bafana international returned to Chiefs starting line-up against Moroka Swallows in November after 15 months without playing an official match and has since kept three clean sheets in four games.

On Thursday, Chiefs announced that Bvuma – just like Brandon Petersen, whose new deal was announced earlier today – has penned a new two-year deal until June 2026 with an option to extend it for a further year, as reported by this publication in January.
