Chippa United are closing in on the signing of Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit Lerumo Lions striker Ntuthuko Mlotshwa, iDiski Times has established.
The prolific Lerumo Lions star enjoyed a spectacular campaign with the North West outfit, hitting the back of the net 14 times across all competitions and establishing himself as the talismanic figure for The Lions.
Mlotshwa rattled the net on 13 occasions in the league alone, ending the season tied at the top of the NFD goalscoring charts alongside Hungry Lions forward Ronaldo Van Neel.
The clinical centre-forward also made his mark in the Nedbank Cup, scoring a goal in their 2-1 loss against Mkhambathi FC in the Round of 32.
His goalscoring exploits have naturally caught the eye of top-flight suitors.
Chippa United are already looking to aggressively strengthen their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season as they hope to return.
The Chilli Boys currently find themselves sitting precariously in 13th place on the league table, just one point adrift of the dreaded PSL promotion/relegation playoff zone.
To guarantee their safety without relying on other results, United must secure at least a draw or a victory against Kaizer Chiefs in their final match of the season.
Failing that, they will be left hoping that relegation rivals Marumo Gallants and Orbit College drop crucial points in their respective fixtures.
