Chippa Closing In On Two New Signings

DStv Premiership outfit Chippa United have agreed on terms with duo Xolani Sithole and Samkelo Jali.

Sithole, formerly with Pretoria Callies in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, was recently in the news after being accused of age-cheating by NB La Masia, stating that he had changed his birth year from 1997 to 2001 but he has been cleared of having a legitimate birthdate.

The 22-year-old, who plays as a winger, had an impressive season with Callies netting five goals and helping his side to finish in ninth place under the tutelage of Bushy Moloi.

Meanwhile, Jali is a 24-year-old who played for Maritzburg United the previous season, filling in at both centre-back and right-back positions.

He had an impressive debut season to remember with the Team of Choice despite their failure to gain promotion back to the DStv Premiership.

Sithole and Jali are already in Gqeberha where they are set to complete the move and start their pre-season with the Chilli Boys. Kwanele Kopo who is the co-coach at Chippa, previously worked with Sithole at Callies.
