Cape Town City fans had two reasons to celebrate on Saturday, as they watched their team beat Richards Bay 3-1, while they were also finally introduced to Prins Tjiueza, who was unveiled by the club.
While Tjiueza, who was signed earlier in the year, did not get on the pitch, he was present at the DHL Stadium and greeted supporters who had come to watch the game.
City announced Tjiueza back in January, and the Namibian international who impressed at the AFCON earlier this year, would have enjoyed watching his new teammates score three goals, with Lorenzo Gordinho, Jaedin Rhodes and Thabiso Kutumela getting on the scoresheet, a result that also confirmed sixth-placed City can finish no lower than seventh.
Unfortunately Tjiueza got injured at the AFCON and a surgery meant he was unable to join up with his new club.
However the Namibian finally came to Cape Town in March and has been doing his recovery in the city.
City wrap up their campaign against champions Mamelodi Sundowns next week.
