Manchester United have announced the signing of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte, while Arsenal are closing in on Raheem Sterling.
United had a busy Deadline Day, announcing the arrival of Mail wonder kid Sekou Kone, while Scott McTominay left the club to join Napoli.
Late on Deadline Day, the Red Devils also confirmed the arrival of midfielder Ugarte from PSG. The 23-year-old moved to the Old Trafford on a deal until 2029, with an option to extend in a deal said to be worth €50 million plus €5 million.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are closing in on a last-minute loan for Raheem Sterling from Chelsea. The Athletic journalist David Ornstein stated that the winger is set to join the Gunners on a loan, with no option to buy.
The Blues could also still get a deal over the line, as Jadon Sancho is close to moving to Stamford Bridge on a season-long loan deal with an obligation to buy.
Chelsea were also set to be in talks with Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, but they couldn’t push a deal over the line due to the Napoli star’s wage demands. The reigning African Footballer of the Year will now stay put in Napoli, who did already sign Romelu Lukaku as his replacement.
In Italy, AC Milan have announced the signing of striker Tammy Abraham from AS Roma.
