Kaizer Chiefs legend Doctor Khumalo has expressed his admiration of the club’s incoming striker in this transfer window Tashreeq Morris.
Morris’ deal is reported to be almost done with coach Gavin Hunt having all but confirmed that it is a swap Congolese winger Christian Saile.
The former Cape Town City striker has scored two goals in nine appearances for Matsatsantsa, which has divided opinion among the Amakhosi faithful on social media.
’16V’ on the other hand likes Morris’ simplistic game while also cautioning against judging the forward too early as he may surprise many.
“I’d like to believe that we don’t have to be harsh or look at the journey of the boy and think that he might not make it,” said Khumalo on SABC’s Soccerzone.
“He might surprise us because there are so many players that are in other teams, a [Thalente] Mbatha for that matter, that comes from SuperSport [United] to Pirates and here he is in the national team.

“So, Morris, I like him because he is an outright striker, he does things simply, he doesn’t like to complicate things and only if they can give him what we call suppliers because if you don’t have those people then what’s the use of getting a striker.”
