Durban City are set to sign Terrence Mashego from Mamelodi Sundowns on loan.
Mashego, 29, was informed by Sundowns he could leave on loan, with Siwelele initially mooted as a potential destination, but that interest later cooled off.
Head Coach Gavin Hunt has been in the market to strengthen the left-back area in his squad, and the two parties have reached an agreement, with sources telling iDiski Times the paper work is being finalised.
Meanwhile, the former Bafana Bafana left-back has already started training with City.
The Motsepe Foundation Championship winners started the 2025/26 well, collecting two wins, two draws and just one defeat from their first five fixtures.
Mashego, meanwhile, has made 45 appearances for Sundowns since joining Cape Town City in September 2022, but has fallen down the pecking order under Miguel Cardoso.
In 2024/25, he made just 13 appearances, starting only seven – most of them in the Nedbank Cup and MTN8.
