Former Orlando Pirates talent Phetso Maphanga looks set for a return to the Premier Soccer League.
Maphanga, 30, has been out of action since 2021 when he left Moroka Swallows due to personal responsibilities but is itching for a professional return.
After stints with Cape Town All Stars, Chippa United, Pirates, Chippa United and Moroka Swallows in the professional ranks, the left-back’s agency confirmed he’s been working tirelessly to be ready for pre-season.
“Phetso was attending to family matters which needed his attention hence he was away from home for a very long time but now things are sorted that’s why he’s ready to hit the ground and play the game with more maturity with responsibility on his shoulders,” his representative Elias Molokoane told iDiski Times.
“We are managing Phetso now and we are making sure he is well; physically and psychologically and of course with hard training to make sure he is ready.
“[There have been] teams are enquiring about his services from Gauteng, Limpopo and KwaZulu-Natal and once we conclude talks with the one who shows serious interest we’ll conclude the deal.”
Maphanga holds over 100 games in professional football in the top two divisions in South African football.
