Collins Nwoburuoke, a defender who was under assessment at Orlando Pirates a two weeks ago is back at Durban City in a bid to secure a contract.
The centre-back arrived in South Africa during the pre-season, joining The Citizens in training while they were preparing for the next season.
The Betway Premiership newbies were keen on bringing him on board as they attempted signing him. They went so far as to apply for a work permit, but the application was met with issues, putting the transfer on hold.
While there were issues, the former Abia Warriors centre-back then went on to have a trial with the Buccaneers, who were also interested in assessing him.
After a few days training under the watchful eye of Abdeslam Ouaddou, Pirates decided against signing the player.
Last week, the Nigerian defender returned to Durban last week, rejoining City who remain interested in adding him to Gavin Hunt’s squad.
