Former Chiefs Striker Leaves Club After Just 3 Months

Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana is a free agent after leaving Iranian side Zob Ahan Esfahan after just three months.

Since leaving Chiefs in 2023, Bimenyimana has been struggling to settle in one team, as he first joined Al-Ahly and spent five months at the Libyan side.

The 27-year-old last scored a goal at club level during his time at Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup Round of 32 against Casric Stars in March 2023.

He also scored at the national team level in June 2023 during the AFCON qualification against Namibia.

After spending nine months without a club, the Burundian striker signed with Iranian side Zob Ahan Esfahan in October but he didn’t last long there as he spent less than three at the club.

He only played five matches in all competitions without scoring a goal and it has now been confirmed that he has parted ways with Zob Ahan and is again a free agent.

He can join a team of his choice after leaving inside the transfer window.
