Former Pirates Midfielder Wanted By EPL Club – Report

Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Marshall Munetsi is a wanted man, as Premier League side AFC Bournemouth are one of three English clubs keen on the Zimbabwe international.

Munetsi, 26, left Pirates in 2019 to join Ligue 1 Reims and has received stellar reviews since.

Overall, he’s made 92 appearances for Reims since his move, scoring nine goals, with three of them coming this campaign.

His fine performances have helped Reims to go unbeaten since October and also awoken new interest in England.

Percy Tau’s former club Brighton & Hove Albion were understood to be chasing him ahead of the season but his Ligue 1 side rebuffed their interested, with Munetsi signing a new deal until 2026.

However, Bournemouth are now keen to add him to their squad, while Championship leaders Burnley, and Watford are also monitoring the situation, according to Foot Mercato.

Munetsi has made 23 appearances for Zimbabwe, with his last dating back to October 2021 due the Warriors suspension from international football by FIFA.
