Kaizer Chiefs Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr. has expressed his excitement over the signing of new winger Glody Lilepo.
Lilepo, 27, joined Amakhosi on Monday as one of three January signings alongside Tashreeq Morris and Thabo Cele.
The DR Congo international moved to Naturena from French side Valenciennes FC, where he had scored four goals and set up two more in 16 appearances this season so far.
Before moving to France in September 2023, he previously played for Sudanese giants Al Hilal and AS Vita in his homeland, scoring eight goals in 16 CAF Champions League matches.
Chiefs confirmed Lilepo will be “eligible to join the team once his work permit is approved by the relevant authorities”, with Kaizer Jr. saying he hopes the player will settle in quickly.

“We are very pleased to announce the acquisition of a player with his experience and wish him all the best,” the Chiefs SD said.
“We’ll do our utmost to help him settle in quickly and look forward to seeing him in action soon.”
Lilepo, who featured 11 times for DRC, has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal, which also includes an option for a further season.
