Former Kaizer Chiefs forward Khama Billiat is currently training with SuperSport United with hope of earning himself a contract.
Billiat left Chiefs at the beginning of the season after five years with the club. The former Ajax Cape Town player was part of the Amakhosi side that reached the CAF Champions League in 2019 but had somewhat been hampered by injuries.
Matsatsantsa returned to training this morning after a three-week break and a the new face of Billiat was spotted.
A close source confirmed that he started training with SuperSport this morning with hope of earning himself a contract.
Head coach Gavin Hunt is currently doing his CAF A License Diploma course so he is not with the club, with assistant coach Andre Arendse leading the training session on Thursday morning.
United is still involved in the CAF Confederations Cup where they are sitting fourth in Group A and are sitting third in the DStv Premiership.
The experience of Billiat would definitely come handy for the continental competition and for the league, as he has won all with Mamelodi Sundowns.
Earlier in the season, Billiat was linked with a move to Cape Town City but that deal never materialised and chairman John Comitis stating at the time that the 33-year-old was still exploring other options.
